$100M renovation for Potawatomi Hotel & Casino

The Forest County Potawatomi have announced a $100 million renovation to their Potawatomi Hotel & Casino venue in Milwaukee.
The expensive renovation will completely upgrade the venue’s third floor, which makes up more than 120,000 square feet of the 30-year-old venue. Included in the renovation will be a new high-limit gaming floor, a new bar that will include bar-top games, a stage and a brick-oven gourmet kitchen.
In announcing the renovation Potawatomi Hotel & Casino CEO and General Manager Dominic Ortiz said in a statement, “Not only will this elevate the brand, it will further our long-standing status as the premier entertainment destination in the region as the market becomes significantly more competitive. This is just the beginning. Additional exciting changes and new amenities are in store.”
The newly renovated third floor will also be home to several new dining options for Potawatomi Hotel & Casino patrons. This includes a full-service Starbucks, and a Rock & Brews Restaurant which is a chain established by KISS rockers Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons.
The renovations, which are scheduled to be completed by spring 2022 come at time when Potawatomi Hotel & Casino is facing future competition. Full House Resorts is currently constructing American Place, casino resort in Waukegan, Illinois which is about 55 miles from Milwaukee, just south of the Wisconsin state line. While construction continues on American Place, Full House Resorts will open a temporary casino nearby later this year.
